School Musical

Our Team offer workshops, suitable for beginners, that promise to be fun.

Each school has its own wishlist, and so, each course is tailor made to fit.

To introduce students in a fun way to all that musical theatre has to offer! Will strive to be lively and enjoyable, encouraging self-expression and developing self confidence Working with an artistic director, musical director and choreographer, participants are introduced to acting, singing and dancing Students work together as equal players in a team, creating magical memories

ACTING – Stage technique is introduced through games, exercises and improvisations SINGING – Sampled through breathing tips, warm ups, and solo/group singing DANCING – Introduced initially through hip-hop and modern Through to rehearsals and show time! All workshops are fun FILMING – Both the musical and behind the scenes’ filmed by an experienced camera man. Each participant will receive a DVD copy

The course has a cross arts approach with ACTING – SINGING – DANCING Relaxed auditions allow students to meet the coaches on a one-to-one basis Page to Stage will focus on the character devising process, developing scene work for performance to a high level The course delivered is hands on and practical from the get go! Never a dull moment!

Making A Movie

PROFESSIONAL FILM MAKING FOR T.Y. STUDENTS WRITE, DIRECT AND STAR IN YOUR OWN FILM!

OUR TEAM DELIVER THREE TO FIVE DAY FILM MAKING WORKSHOPS, SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS

OBJECTIVES
To introduce students in a fun way to all that film making entails! Focus upon acting and making a short film on a shoe string budget! Entering film festival – Galway Junior Film Fleadh and Fresh Film Festival.
STRUCTURE Students are in front of and behind the camera from the first day of class. We teach through a balance of classroom instruction, hands-on film workshops, and immediate acting and directing experience.

COURSE BREAKDOWN
Acting: Screen acting techniques through games and exercises.
Direction: Basics-working with actors; working with a crew. Improvisation techniques- from script to screen and scene direction
Script Writing: Brainstorming, choosing main plot and theme, dramatic structure, character structure, writing scenes, dialogue, use of voiceover as narration or thought track through to finished script
Filming: Students, with the use of professional commercial cameras, learn how to film scene by scene. Each participant will receive a DVD copy of their movie.
