Fluent Expressive Speech | Grade, Public Speaking, Acting Exams | Introduction to literature
Trading Faces Speech & Drama Centre was first established in 1992, to encourage fluent – expressive speech and to develop imagination and self-confidence.
Working with the Leinster School of Music & Drama to prepare students for Grade – Acting – Public Speaking Exams (to Diploma level).
Venue: Ardilaun House Hotel
Day & Time: Monday Evening
All speech & Drama courses run from September to February.
Juniors

3.30 – 5 p.m.
Seniors

5 – 6.30 p.m.
All class groups are small in number to ensure individual attention.
Junior courses available:
Pre-Junior & Junior Drama Class
Enjoyable course encouraging personality development and self-confidence.
Class will introduce literature in a fun way – through contemporary and classic script – improvisation – mime – and characterisation through the script. Students are prepared for child friendly Acting exam.
Pre-Junior & Junior Speech Class
This course develops relaxation methods – breathing – tone – poetry speaking – reading aloud.
Students explore literature (Poetry & Prose) and Theory.
Speech & Communication games are popular with this age group. Students are prepared for appropriate child friendly Grade exam.
Teenage courses available:
Teenage Speech Class
Encouraging fluent speech – correct method of breathing – emphasis on articulation and pronunciation through poetry – prose – drama – theory. Students prepared for Grade exam.
Teenage Drama Class
Designed to build on confidence – self-esteem – introducing students to characterisation – costume design – improvisation – classical and modern drama pieces. Students are prepared for Acting exam.
Teenage Voice Class
Focusing on fluid speech- Communication skills – prepared and unprepared – to both formal and informal settings.
The course concentrates upon relaxation – breathing – resonance – modulation of the voice.
Students are prepared for appropriate Public Speaking exam.
